Last Saturday, I sat for hours on the concrete floor of a chilly, musty, dusty warehouse at 500 Singleton with 150+ other artists creating pieces for this year’s ArtCon. 2013 marks the 4th year I’ve had the opportunity to participate in this incredible event. Art Conspiracy‘s mission is to inspire artists and musicians to join for the benefit of local nonprofit arts organizations. This year’s beneficiary is My Possibilities, a continuing education program in Collin County serving special needs adults. Tomorrow night, hundreds of people will gather at 500 Singleton Blvd to experience art, music, food, drink, and sheer chaos as 150 some-odd 18″x18″ art pieces are auctioned off in flying frenzy.
