More ART!
So I realize it is February 8th and yesterday was my first blog post for 2013. I keep promising myself I will update my blog more frequently and then being not so good with the follow through. I will say that 2013 is off to a FANTASTIC start. I usually skip the whole New Year’s resolution bit, but this year I dove in and relented to the following, simple, succinct commitment: MAKE MORE ART. I am pleased to report that I have been keeping this up masterfully thus far. I’ve made dozens of unique pendants for local shops. I’ve also made new pieces for Main St. Station in Grapevine, The Valentine’s Day Show at the RGB gallery in Deep Ellum, and the annual benefit For the Love of Kettle this Saturday. Annnd I’m working on two unrelated piece that doesn’t have homes yet, just because I need more inventory. Most of my pieces are currently out, all over town, and they’re beginning to sell!! I’ve sold at least one piece every month for the past 4 months. And I’m certain February will make 5. So there you have it. I launch 2013 and the 30th year of my life with a burgeoning art career and promising curating opportunities.
One of the pieces I’m currently working on. When finished, it’ll be 24″x48″ flappy puzzley goodness. And reversible to boot!
